Assessment of Replacement of Metal Parts by BFRP Composites into a Highly Efficient Electrical Prototype

This work intends to evaluate the use of epoxy composite materials reinforced with basalt fibers as replacement metallic mechanical parts a highly efficient electrical prototype. The analysis behavior original bracket was made and an optimization process carried out in order achieve most suitable geometry stacking sequence if produced material. Finite element using Siemens NX12 experimental tests part were performed access it. It verified that total weight shows 45% reduction. higher deformation than one due fiber’s flexibility. However, advantages added by new component largely compensate for disadvantages may have been without compromising its performance. Obtained results show fiber composites material prototype is good alternative.
